Industrial Metals & Surplus was started by Edwin Rothberg in 1978 with one other employee and a few pieces of surplus steel. Over the past 25 years the company has grown into a full line steel service center serving the structural steel and ornamental iron needs of customers in Atlanta, Georgia and the Southeastern United States. We have a broad customer base of structural fabricators, contractors, and manufacturers - as well as the walk-in novice working on a home project

In October 2002 - after 2-1/2 years of hard work - we moved to our new plant at 1635 Marietta Road (on the northwest side of of downtown Atlanta). We now have over 225,000 square feet of warehouse space on 13 acres. We have increased our range and depth of inventory, and now stock over 15,000 tons of various metal products. We have also added to our lines of ornamental iron components and fabrication accessories in a new 7,500 square foot warehouse and showroom. We are now able to offer improved will-call service with faster loading times and longer hours. Finally, we have also increased our processing capabilities, including a wheel-a-brator for shot blasting material, and painting.

We want to thank you for your patience and willingness to stick with us during our move. We have worked very hard and made a significant investment in the company to provide you with better service in all facets of our business.
